    Holy crap you weren't kidding about the model being darker. I don't know what to say about that, I've had other varnish fuck ups, but I've never had that happen.

    Is the other model varnished also? He looks much brighter.

    I varnished the three weapon guy as well, I've re-varnished them with gloss only, the Vallejo matte was causing the fading, I've also given them stronger highlights with a red/orange mixture. I'm only going to gloss my models from now on until I get my hands on the matte varnish you have.

    I'm not sure what to do for the pages edges, I'm thinking of painting a bronze or gold color along them, hopefully that will cause them to stand out more.

    Quick edit: I found out that painted on varnish is garbage and needs water to dilute it. I've done that and applied it to my skaven and the highlights are not fading. Success! I still want the spray on dullcote varnish from Testors though.
